All tucked away

Winter is always fun time for bonsai………No not really. Its time just to protect your trees and hope everything comes out unscathed, despite O’man winter trying his best. My winters, in Virginia, are not all that bad, mostly. Last year we had crazy cold, down into the single digits for a couple weeks. Though that’s not the norm and I didn’t lose anything. I simply tuck all my trees in a nice bed of pine needles. Spray with a fungicide and there ya have it.

Above is my grow out bed, a cedar and blue spruce which are very cold hardy and don’t really need much protecting.
